Business Relationship Support, Abbotsford


The Business Relationship Support assists Business Account Managers and performs a variety of administrative functions including collecting and preparing annual reviews, preparing loan reports, and liaising with external parties such as insurance and merchant service providers. What you’ll do:

  • Prepare reports, maintains business lending and bring forward filing systems and responds to member enquiries.
  • Open new business accounts, deposits and lending products.
  • Assist with preparation of member applications, lender credit applications and credit renewals.
  • Provide advice specific to members’ needs including Business Online, cash management services, merchant, and payroll services.
  • Run various credit reports and other searches including land title and personal property security act (PPSA) searches, as well as complete telephone credit checks.
  • Prepare and document letters of credit and related indemnities for members.
  • Calculate and prepare loan payouts by applying established penalty and interest formulas.
  • Assist in loan margining process by analyzing receivable lists, preparing margin cards, preparing letters for any required loan reductions, and collecting fees.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing a variety of weekly, monthly and quarterly banking system reports.

What you’ll need:

  • Ability to exercise judgement and make complex decisions under general supervision;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
  • Ability to plan, schedule, organize and prioritize work assignments;
  • Knowledge of cross-selling techniques;
  • Thorough knowledge of business lending and deposit products and services and related policies, procedures, documentation requirement and legal processes;
  • Thorough knowledge of banking system and personal computer applications;
  • Good working knowledge of accounting and financial statements.
  • Two years relevant post-secondary education;
  • One to two years related experience;
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
