With the announcement of the upcoming retirement of Al Suraci, Northern is seeking its next President & CEO. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO directs the overall business affairs of Northern in pursuit of its mission, vision, and True North values. The CEO guides the strategic direction of the credit union, driving business growth, financial strength, sustainability and responsiveness to the diverse needs of its members while leading the way for Northern to be an innovative market leader in the credit union system.

As an ideal candidate, you are a highly credible leader skilled at communicating and executing on a compelling and inspired vision that balances innovation and risk with the needs of members. Your strong business and financial acumen is ideally combined with ten years of senior leadership experience, preferably gained, in mid-to-large financial institutions where you demonstrated a passion for achieving operational excellence. A proven change leader who is open, transparent, creative and solutions-oriented, you are deeply respected for your outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills. You naturally gravitate to visibility, proactive engagement and working collaboratively with staff and members to influence at a systems level and leverage initiatives and partnerships that will enhance the continued success of Northern. The organization will benefit from your sound governance knowledge and previous experience reporting to, or serving on, a board of directors. A supportive, inclusive, transparent and team-oriented leader passionate about succession planning and development, you are skilled at stewarding a cohesive and high performing culture across a complex organization.
