We’re hiring a Commercial Account Manager!

Position Overview

As an advisor, the Commercial Account Manager (CAM) exemplifies what it means to deliver exceptional high-quality service to members and confidently grow and manage a portfolio of commercial members.

Building trust and loyalty is paramount, and the CAM does this by providing a high level of expertise in delivering financial solutions to members to enhance their overall financial well-being. Works collaboratively with all credit union and subsidiary staff to proactively network, build relationships and seek business development opportunities with members and non-members.

The CAM strives for excellence and plays a vital role in growing member relationships and making sound decisions and recommendations to support the growth and profitability of our credit union.

Key Accountabilities

Sales & Service Promotion

  • Maintain, manage and grow a portfolio of business members providing a full range of personal and commercial products and services
  • Interview business members, analyze financial statements to identify ability to service debt, ensure documentation is complete, negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, and approve credit facilities within assigned limits 

Member & Community Experience

  • Build member loyalty and trust by exercising sound judgement and thoughtful consideration in delivering an exceptional member experience
  • Establish relationships with members, non-members and business/community contacts in order to promote the credit union and grow our book of business

Employee Experience

  • Promotes teamwork and cooperation as a peer leader; act as a role model to share knowledge and skills to assist others
  • Gain support of peers and encourage collaboration to accomplish common goals

Risk Management

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of policies, procedures and statutory requirements as they relate to commercial credit activities
  • Evaluate securities and analyze commercial financial statements and various economic and commercial factors affecting loan viability in accordance with established policies, procedures and statutory requirements

  • Grows member relationships by actively listening and asking open ended questions to add value beyond members’ immediate requests
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing work and providing information
  • Resolves complex issues with business members with ‘win/win’ solutions
  • Proven abilities in complex financial statement analysis, risk assessment and risk management
  • Subject matter expert in the commercial services area

Experience & Education

  • Five year progressive and diverse commercial lending experience
  • Experience granting credit in a range of business sectors as well as personal lending experience
  • Combined experience and post-secondary education in the areas that are directly related to financial service
