We are looking for a full-time Supervisor for our Waterloo Branch location who will be responsible to provide direction, supervision, coordination and communication within the Waterloo branch in accordance Education Credit Union policies and procedures. Strong lending required.  Must be prepared to work based out of any of the 3 locations of Education Credit Union.

A summary of the Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Supervise delegate and coordinate the activities of the branch operation, including deposits and loan portfolios, including training, scheduling and delegation of duties

  • Responsible for regulatory requirements, and to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.  (satisfactory internal and external audits)

  • Develop and promote Business Development activities to ensure achievement of branch and corporate targets.

  • Responsible for lending, delinquency control, and compliance for the Waterloo branch.

  • Responsible for analysis of lending requests based on character, capacity and collateral to safeguard member deposits and the viability of the credit union.

  • Responsible for personnel management, coaching, and supervision within the branch operation.

  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.

  • Coaching:  Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the member’s needs, concerns and objectives.

  • Meet potential members by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your networks.

  • Other duties as assigned by CEO or Branch Operations manager.

    Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years managing employees in a financial institution.
  • A solid understanding of the full array of banking products and services including investments.
  • Strong and proven lending background.
