The Opportunity: Chief Executive Officer

With the planned retirement of a long-term CEO, Creston & District Credit Union is now seeking qualified applicants to fill the existing vacancy.  Under general direction from the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and strategic direction to the credit union and has overall management responsibility for all credit union operations. The CEO will establish, implement, and oversee the credit union’s ambitious short and long-term goals, business strategy, plans, and policies in accordance with the vision, mission, and values of the organization, and will pursue operational excellence by providing overall leadership and guidance in the refinement of member and client solutions to more efficiently utilize organizational resources and provide better products and services for the benefit of their membership.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

· A relevant degree from an accredited post-secondary institution, preferably in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline;

· Several years of related experience in a senior management capacity in the financial services industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;

· A strong and comprehensive understanding of human resources solutions, strategic planning, corporate governance strategies, and Board governance;

· Ability to exercise sound, reasonable judgment in processing, responding to, and resolving a wide range of administrative, technical, policy, and overall management matters; and

· A demonstrated, ongoing commitment to lifelong learning.
