  • Weyburn Credit Union is continually reviewing and adding projects to enhance the member experience. Working closely with management and subject matter experts, the Project Management Specialist leads the implementation of a variety of assigned projects from conception to completion, ensures project timelines, goals and budget are achieved and the decisions, at all levels, align with the Credit Union’s strategy and values. The position is also accountable to develop and maintain business analysis expertise and implement best practices, principles, methodologies and processes. The successful candidate will also assist in the development and maintenance of the corporate intranet.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in a business-related field plus 3-5 years of progressive project management experience. Knowledge of the credit union or banking industry would be considered an asset.
  • A project management designation or certification or a business analyst designation is preferred.
  • Sound understanding of the project lifecycle and communicating with project stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing projects and leading teams in a deadline environment to achieve well defined goals.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience in the development of professional quality reports, analytical documents and business cases.
  • Adapt easily to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Superior organization, time management, problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record of developing strong internal and external relationships, both individually and in a team environment.

  • Assessing business problems, overseeing the gathering and defining of requirements, and working closely with departments and subject matter experts to develop solutions that meet business needs.
