We’re the largest financial institution based on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, and we’ve got an opportunity for you. We need an Assistant Manager, Central Operations-Registered and Estates, so if you’re passionate about improving people’s financial health and have proven knowledge and experience with branch operations with regards to estate administration, registered products, power of attorney and trust, we’d like to hear from you.

What’s the role?

As an Assistant Manager, Central Operations-Registered and Estates, you will assist with developing policy and procedures for maintaining and strengthening service to the retail and operation service divisions as well as provide support in all areas and functions within Central Operations. You'll thrive at designing continuous improvement processes and providing guidance to branches and departments with operational procedures to increase efficiencies. By empowering a team of representatives, you will lead and influence the development and engagement of employees that support the achievement of business and increase employee productivity.

What are we looking for?

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma requiring 3-4 years of full-time study;
  • 6 years of progressive financial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Advanced understanding of service levels, branch operations, products and services;
  • Thorough understanding of credit union operations, principles and values.

Ideally, you are a flexible, collaborative team player with:

  • A solid understanding of registered products and audit procedures;
  • A solid understanding of estate administration, power of attorney, and trusts;
  • Have demonstrated ability to coach and motivate a team of representatives;
  • Proven experience in providing detailed and accurate information to third parties.
