As the top finance position, you will report directly to the CEO and, as a member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for the overall financial management of Bulkley Valley Credit Union and its subsidiaries. You will be responsible for setting up and implementing financial and administrative practices, processes, and policies that contribute to the operation of BVCU in a financially responsible and sustainable manner; taking an active role in the annual planning process; identifying short and long-term objectives and contributing to BVCU’s corporate goals and results. You will be responsible for creating an environment where accounting/clearing staff are encouraged to provide high quality service to our staff in a professional manner and overseeing accounting/clearing staff to ensure effective performance and results through coaching and development of staff to their full potential. This role performs the duties and requirements of Privacy Officer.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a professional accounting designation (recognized by CPA), a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting/finance environment including exposure to asset/liability management, budgeting, and long term economic forecasting. In addition, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years exposure at a management level.
